8th sketch - [video, backdated to April 15th]

[Filtered from game!Silver, 80%]

Hi, everyone. I have this friend who lives with me, and... well, he's been more upset than usual. I talked to him yesterday, and he just told me that it's the time of year that's bothering him.

I didn't mean to snoop, but... well, he did mark it on the calendar, and--well, his birthday's on the eighteenth, and I think that's part of what's bothering him. A really big part. So I thought maybe... maybe I'd throw a birthday party to make him feel better! But it probably wouldn't be a very good party if it were just me and him, and I'm not entirely sure what to do for him either.

So... I thought I'd ask you guys! Any ideas would be great, and if you want to come, please tell me! I really want to make this a birthday Silver will remember in a good way.

Well, I'm not sure he's really a jerk. I think he's a nice person underneath everything. He's just rough around the edges!

But the other two traits are dead on.

Well, there's two Silvers in Luceti. I haven't really talked to the other one, but I'm pretty sure he's nicer than the Silver I know. They both look alike and they're both Pokémon trainers, so it can get pretty confusing.

There's really two? [...] Well, the Silver I know... does have his moments, I can admit that. But he really helped me out when I got really depressed after the experiment in February, so I know he has to care more than he lets on. He wouldn't have tried otherwise, right?

Yes, I guess not. It's just that I know that Silver doesn't get out much. I think he might be a little happier if he had just a couple more friends, but... [Yeah, Jeb's likely gotten the "friendship is weak" rant a few times.]

[Hey, hey. Don't say that about his friend!]

He's really not that bad, just a little rough around the edges. He doesn't like it when I make sure he eats and all, and he does have his moments, but sometimes he can really be nice to have around! [Then again, Jeb is the same person who feels Mithos is justified for being angry with him. The kid must have a high tolerance for assholery when it's aimed at him by people he cares about.]

[It's different than random bullying, isn't it? It's harder to look away and turn your back when it's someone you've become more familiar with... if he had never gotten to know his Silver, would he be the same as those bullies?]

If that was true, he wouldn't have helped me when I needed it! He wouldn't have tried to make me feel better when I was upset over one of the experiments! It's true that he can be mean sometimes, but I don't think he's a bad person or really that selfish!
