Out of curiosity, what kind of chocolate does everyone like? Personally, there's a lot of kinds I enjoy! And you can use chocolate as a topping for a lot of things, too... how many of you have had chocolate-covered strawberries? Those are wonderful!

[He can feel the fluttering of his heart as he writes the message to the other boy.]

Would you like some company today, Mithos? I'm not doing anything and I really want to see you. I can bring some art supplies over, and maybe make something little for us to eat! So, are you okay with it?

[...good question. Martel is the one who keeps the cabinets stocked with food.]

You can check in the kitchen. [...but that requires you getting up. Which he suppose you'll have to do eventually anyway...]

I'll do that really quick, okay? [...but he doesn't want to move.]

...I'll still be here, when you get back. [drops his fingers from Jeb's hair, but squeezes his hand]

...okay. [He gives Mithos one last soft smile and squeezes his hand in return before getting up and going to the kitchen.]

[and he'll wait here, missing his warm presence]

[He comes back, still smiling.]

I found some chocolate and some strawberries!

Really? [he...had no idea.]

Then...that sounds good.

Okay! Chocolate covered strawberries it is! [...he thinks about feeding one to Mithos for a moment and blushes.]

[He shifts to hoist himself up] I'll come sit at the table while you work.

[let's go...]

[He slowly walks back to the kitchen, keeping an eye on Mithos as much as he could.]

[How breakable do you think he is, Jeb? ........Wait, don't answer that. But he can't say he entirely minds the extra attention from him, so long as he isn't fretting too much.

Once in the kitchen, he makes his way over to the table and lowers himself into a seat.]

[He starts moving around to get what he needs to start.]

...I'm glad you're in here with me.

[...Jeb, you say weird things sometimes. But it's.....cute. Is that the word for it?]

I wanted to keep you company.

[If that's the word you want to use.]

Well, I'm glad! I like it when you keep me company.

['Cute' is an anomaly in his vocabulary....]

If I can do anything to help you... [while sitting down. Sigh.]

[This is true...]

Okay! Could you please look over these strawberries for me, then?

Look over them?

Yeah! Just make sure all of them are okay.

Okay. [he holds his hand out to take the strawberries from Jeb.]

[Here you go, Mithos! Jeb will start working on the chocolate.]

[He begins checking over each strawberry, but half of his attention remains on Jeb.]

[And almost all of Jeb's focus remains on the chocolate, oblivious to how Mithos is still watching him.]

[...It's nice, watching Jeb work. Something about it is so peaceful, and...normal. He likes catching as many glimpses as he can.]
