[It's obvious that he's trying to be happy, but it's pretty forced overall.]

[Jeb will be out and about for a couple of hours. Most commonly he'll be seen trying to draw in various locations, but it's obvious that he's too distracted, too upset, to really get too far. He'll probably appreciate the company if one decides to approach him.]

[There is a sudden, scrawny teenager with zero concept of "personal space" leaning over his shoulder. He can't really tell if Jeb is sad yet, because he can't really see his face, and he just started drawing anyways. So he's chipper and enthusiastic with his compliments.]

Wow, that looks really pretty.

[You know, even if it's just a rough sketch. The most Wan has ever drawn is a couple of spirals so everything art related is impressive to him.]

[It will probably be a little while longer before Wan is able to tell that Jeb is upset, because right now he's more startled than anything else. He jumps, a slight yelp slipping past his lips, before recomposing himself and giving Wan an apologetic smile.]

Sorry! You surprised me a little. [He looks to his sketchbook, then back to Wan.] Thank you. ...for the compliment on my work, I mean.

[Wan isn't really phased by his reaction, since he is used to having timid friends. He will make himself comfortable and sit down next to Jeb. Which is probably less startling than leaning over him.]
