--nder what this does... hey, is this recording? Woah, this is a journal that can record things? Even if I don't know what the heck is going on, that is so cool! So, um, can anyone tell me why I woke up with no shirt on? It... it's a little embarrassing, and I feel really exposed--hey, I have wings! What the...?! People don't really wake up with wings! But I guess they also really don't wake up dressed in something different, either. Hey, I wonder...! [There's a pause, before the sound of running can be heard and a loud thud after that.] Ow... I guess they aren't meant for flying, even if they are neat. Oh, hey, there my clothes are! Now I can actually feel comfortable! Well, with how I'm dressed, at least. I still don't know where I am, and that's not good at all.

Where is this place? [And then, reality slowly begins to hit him.] I-If someone can hear this, does anyone know the way out of here? I really can't stay here, even though the scenery is beautiful. If I wasn't in such a rush to get back, I wouldn't mind sketching a bit of my surroundings. But I can't stay! I have to go home, I have to make sure everyone is all right! But it would also be rude not to introduce myself, if anyone can hear me. My name's Jeb, and it's nice to meet you!

[Hopefully that reply got through. This computer isn't like one Eggman generally uses.]

[A surprised gasp is heard. Looks like Eggman's laugh startled him a bit.]

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was!

[Eggman is somewhat happy to have startled this person.]

Ha ha ha! Relax, kid. I'm hardly offended!

Unfortunately, you might be trapped here for quite some time.

If everyone else gives up as quickly as you do, no wonder no one escapes from this place!

[Eggman gives no reply - This person seems to weirdly laid back about the situation, yet claims not to be giving up just yet. Funny, that attitude almost reminds him of a certain blue hedgehog.]

All I mean is that... well, my friends would want me to make the best of it, even if I hadn't already decided to. Besides, I'm sure there are things we can do around here, and maybe we'll find a way home while we're doing them!

And while I'm here, I can draw some of the scenery! It's really gorgeous here, so I definitely wouldn't mind getting some of it down onto paper! [Laughs a little. He just needs to keep focusing on the positives...]

[Eggman briefly wonders if the fellow's any good at drawing. If he can't find the parts to build some robots in this blasted village, he'll probably have to rely on humans to help forward his plans. Drawings could replace surveillance photos...]

Oh ho ho! So you're an artist, eh? How good are you at drawing scenery, then? How about, I don't know, villages, buildings or fortified base defences?

I've been drawing since I was really little, so I'm fairly good at a lot of things! Scenery's one of my favorites to draw, though.

Fortified base defenses? Why do you wonder if I could draw those? ...i-if you don't mind me asking!

Oh, er, well, no reason! I'm just very interested in art, that's all!

Oh, cool! Well, I can understand that. Any piece of art has the potential to be awesome and interesting in so many ways!
