Out of curiosity, what kind of chocolate does everyone like? Personally, there's a lot of kinds I enjoy! And you can use chocolate as a topping for a lot of things, too... how many of you have had chocolate-covered strawberries? Those are wonderful!

[He can feel the fluttering of his heart as he writes the message to the other boy.]

Would you like some company today, Mithos? I'm not doing anything and I really want to see you. I can bring some art supplies over, and maybe make something little for us to eat! So, are you okay with it?

...It's alright; you didn't do anything wrong. [trying to sound warm, but it's obvious he's distracted.]

... [He sighs a little, just holding Mithos tighter and doing what he can to be comforting.]

[He leans a little more into the boy's embrace, quiet.]

... [He's not entirely sure what makes him do it, but it's probably because he hates to see Mithos like this. Either way, he moves upward so he press his lips against Mithos' forehead softly.]

[His cheeks feel warm again. There was so much...tenderness in that simple gesture. Silent reassurance to permeate his skin.] Jeb?

[He pulls his lips away from Mithos' forehead, but only by a couple inches.]

Yes? [Did he do something wrong...?]

[Nothing wrong. Absolutely nothing.]

...Thank you for coming over. [Something he can never say enough. He lifts one hand to stroke Jeb's hair.]

Mmm... [He smiles, calmly exhaling through his nose.] You're welcome. Is there anything specific that you'd like me to make us?

[Keeps running his fingers through Jeb's hair, now smiling gently] I don't know... What were you thinking of making?

Well, I didn't have any real ideas, so... [He laughs sheepishly.] Is there anything you really like, Mithos?

[Food preferences tend to become muted after 4000 years...especially after spending most of that time not eating. But...] Something...sweet?

[...so he still has a somewhat...childish sense of taste. SHUSH.]

Do you have any fruit or chocolate in the house?

[...good question. Martel is the one who keeps the cabinets stocked with food.]

You can check in the kitchen. [...but that requires you getting up. Which he suppose you'll have to do eventually anyway...]

I'll do that really quick, okay? [...but he doesn't want to move.]

...I'll still be here, when you get back. [drops his fingers from Jeb's hair, but squeezes his hand]

...okay. [He gives Mithos one last soft smile and squeezes his hand in return before getting up and going to the kitchen.]

[He comes back, still smiling.]

I found some chocolate and some strawberries!

Really? [he...had no idea.]

Then...that sounds good.

Okay! Chocolate covered strawberries it is! [...he thinks about feeding one to Mithos for a moment and blushes.]

[He shifts to hoist himself up] I'll come sit at the table while you work.

[He slowly walks back to the kitchen, keeping an eye on Mithos as much as he could.]

[How breakable do you think he is, Jeb? ........Wait, don't answer that. But he can't say he entirely minds the extra attention from him, so long as he isn't fretting too much.

Once in the kitchen, he makes his way over to the table and lowers himself into a seat.]

[He starts moving around to get what he needs to start.]

...I'm glad you're in here with me.
