Good afternoon, everyone! I can't believe I almost forgot this, but today's my birthday. It'll be the first birthday in Luceti that I've celebrated at my actual age! The last time it passed, the Malnosso had made me ten...

Anyway, I know a lot of things have been hard here. There have been some rough times for me, but there have been some really good ones, too. I feel like I've grown quite a bit since arriving here! I'm even a little taller. [Two inches is something to brag about when you were 5'1" upon your arrival, okay?] But where I feel I've grown the most is as a person, and I do think I have Luceti to thank for that. A-At least to an extent!

Especially to the people I've befriended, even the ones who've gone home. Thank you, everyone. [He's eighteen now--an adult. For all his personal growth, it feels strange. He still feels far from being an adult. But it's okay. He'll get there, he knows it. He's already come so far...]

[A little later, Jeb will be doing his usual thing around town. Going to the bakery to get sweets, stocking up on food for him and Silver, stopping by the flower shop, checking the general item store for anything neat...

Feel free to catch him anywhere around town--he's definitely going to keep busy for a couple hours. Just because it's his birthday doesn't mean he should hole himself up.]

[Silver's out and about, too. Actually, he just got Jeb's birthday present (and asked them to wrap it, because Silver has never wrapped a gift before in his life and would probably fail at it). It's nothing much, just a set of markers and a sketchbook. Art supplies, so original...but it's what Jeb likes! That's the important thing, right?

He spies Jeb momentarily and debates: go home and give it later, or give it now? how do I birthday gifts]

[At the moment, Jeb doesn't even know Silver's in the same store as him. He's admiring a stuffed animal on one of the shelves. It looks a lot like the one he bought Faye for her birthday one year...]

[Good. That buys him a little more time to think. Honestly, Silver, you kind of fail at this sort of thing...then again it's the first time he's ever gotten someone a birthday gift. He's sorta figured out the whole friendship thing but it's still Silver we're talking about, so...]

[Jeb considers taking the stuffed animal home, as a way of feeling closer to home. He hasn't stopped feeling like it isn't right for him to leave yet, that he still has a lot to do here--but he is homesick. He's always homesick.]

W-Well, I guess I am a little stronger than I was before...

[But he still has so much he could approve.]

A few of them have gone home, but I'd like to think I've made quite a few friends since I've been here, yes!

Oh? And who might they be?

Silver, Ami, Emil, Quinn and Belle, just to name a few. There are also people who have gone home who are still very dear friends of mine, like Oswald.

And then... there's someone who doesn't see me as a friend. Even so, I care about him a lot and I worry about him.

That's how I feel about this place too. It's all thanks to Luceti that I've grown and changed as much as I have.

I'm glad it's not just me, then! Maybe Luceti isn't completely horrible, if it can help people change for the better.

I don't think it's horrible at all. I mean, sure, some of the experiments are bad, and the drafts are pretty scary, but Luceti itself isn't such a bad place to be.

No, it really isn't. I miss everyone back home, but I wouldn't want to leave Luceti yet either.

Well, not really. Nothing much out of the ordinary, anyway. I'll probably stop by the general item shop and the flower shop like I often do, and maybe do grocery shopping for me and Silver. I'll probably cook for us, too.
