Out of curiosity, what kind of chocolate does everyone like? Personally, there's a lot of kinds I enjoy! And you can use chocolate as a topping for a lot of things, too... how many of you have had chocolate-covered strawberries? Those are wonderful!

[He can feel the fluttering of his heart as he writes the message to the other boy.]

Would you like some company today, Mithos? I'm not doing anything and I really want to see you. I can bring some art supplies over, and maybe make something little for us to eat! So, are you okay with it?

[............it isn't difficult to figure out how that sentence was going to end, and he can feel his face growing warm. Actually, he almost drops his pen.]

I'll see you soon.

[He gathers up what he needs before heading toward house 52 as promised. He knocks on the door when he arrives, extremely short of breath. He had done some running for most of the trip, and while house 52 isn't as far as it could be from community building 6, Jeb also isn't the most physically fit of people. Still, he wants to see Mithos as soon as possible--that fact makes everything worth it.]

[He would be waiting right by the door if not for his leg. It's more comfortable on the couch, where he has sat in anticipation from the moment he closed the journal. When he hears knocking, he pulls himself up and goes to the door as quickly as his crutches will allow.]

It's unlocked! [because honestly, it will be quicker and easier if Jeb just opens it himself.]

[Jeb opens the door with anticipation. When he sets his eyes on Mithos, he feels his heart warm up--a wonderful change from the cold. He's still trying to catch his breath, but he refuses to let that keep him from greeting the other.]

Hi, Mithos. [His smile is bright.]

[He can't help but smile when he sees Jeb. When he's cooped up inside day in and day out, the other boy is always very welcome company. Even with Martel around again, he feels a pressing loneliness weighing down on him. Jeb fills in the gaps. The last month or so has been...strange and unexpected, but...pleasant. Very pleasant.]

Hello...

I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long! [His breathing is getting back to a point of normalcy, and his smile hasn't faded. The warmth in Jeb's heart only increases when he sees Mithos smile in return.]

Is it all right if I sit down?

I'm just glad you're here. [it only felt long because he wanted to see the other. ...but taking into consideration how ridiculously long Mithos has been around, and how much idle time he has had on his hands over the years, that impatience should speak volumes.

He nods in response to Jeb's question, and begins to head back to the couch.]

How are you today? ...Aside from not having anything to do.

[Even with as slow as he's being to be fair to Mithos, Jeb still gets to the couch first. However, he waits until Mithos catches up to actually sit down.] I'm all right, and I'm even better now that I'm here with you! How about you, Mithos? How are you doing today?

[He slowly eases himself back down, sitting beside Jeb and setting the crutches against the arm of the couch. Close, but not too close...there's still a small gap he doesn't know how to breach.]

I'm fine... [no different than usual, anyway. Which is leaps and bounds away from 'fine', but it's all relative.] Yes, better, now that you're here.

I'm really glad to hear that. I know I'm always happier when you're around me, so... [Jeb will be the one to breach the gap, but only a little, as he moves closer.]

[...He's so happy to hear that. He feels light, holding close the possibility that Jeb needs him as much as he needs Jeb.] ...That's...that's good.

[The disappearing space between them doesn't go unnoticed, and he carefully rests his hand on the edge of the couch cushion, hinting that it's okay for Jeb to take it.]

[And he does take it, with a soft and carefree laugh.]

...do you want to just stay on the couch for a little bit? [He strokes Mithos' hand with his thumb, soft and affectionate.]

[The soft laugh, the warmth of Jeb's hand... Mithos feels his heart flutter and swell - an odd sensation, but he's come to expect it around Jeb. He doesn't mind at all.]

...Y-Yes. That would be nice... [it gives him time to take a good, up-close look of the boy. Or two. Or three.]

[Jeb removes a little more of the gap between them, not letting go of Mithos' hand.]

Okay! [Then he shivers, still cold from his trip over.] Sorry my hand isn't exactly warm...

[It's warm enough for him; he definitely doesn't want him to take it away.] I don't mind...

[He turns his hand over to lace fingers with Jeb. Shyly looking down now sdgfgu]

Well, as long as you don't mind... [Ah, they're lacing fingers now. ...and Jeb can't help but think that Mithos is adorable when he's being shy. Edging even closer now.]

[He can't keep the smile off his face...which is a very rare sort of thing for him. It seems more common in moments with Jeb, though.

...and now he doesn't know what to say. He doesn't mind the quiet, but he won't object if the other keeps talking.]

...I was thinking of doing something with skies. For my artwork, I mean. What do you think? [Jeb lightly squeezes Mithos' hand, loving and with care.]

[He looks at Jeb again.] It's your art... I think anything you choose will look nice.

[BLUSH.] Y-You really think so?

[he nods and gives Jeb's hand a little squeeze] I do.

That makes me really happy, Mithos. [Jeb could stay with Mithos like this forever, he really could. Reluctantly, he moves to lean against the other boy, but only slightly.]

It's only the truth. [....oh. Jeb is leaning against him a little. His face? It might be pink.]

It's nice hearing it from you. [He leans against Mithos a little more, smiling up at him.]

[...Definitely pink. He smiles warmly down at Jeb. Don't mind him admiring.]
